Although this is a contractor role, you will be onboarded and treated as an equal team member in Offsite’s “best in class” Client Success department.
You will have access to all of Offsite’s resources, softwares, and SOPs.
You are someone who:
- has planned countless events including multi-day corporate retreats,
- has exceptional customer service and communication skills
- has at least 5+ years experience in event planning
- is tech savvy and detail oriented
- is comfortable in a fast paced, startup environment
- is a valued consultant and mentor/leader to our clients (i.e. we are the “thought leaders” our clients depend on for their Offsites)
- experience in the travel and hospitality industry is a plus
- experience using tools like ChatGPT and developing automated workflows, AI workflows, etc is a plus
What Does Success Look Like?
- Happy Clients: After events, clients will fill out surveys letting us know about their experience working with Offsite.
- Clients Who Re-Sign With Us, as well as Expand Their Accounts: Offsite’s goal is to land new clients (handled by our marketing and sales teams), then seek new opportunities to plan more and bigger events for those clients (ie re-signs and “land-and-expand” deals)
- Cost and Time Savings: Clients should save lots of time and money through Offsite’s negotiations and vendor partnerships, in addition to the great work of our Client Success team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Onboard new clients, learning their event goals and visions, and working within timelines to create and exceed their expectations while planning their offsite
- Maintain strong communication with the clients with regular zoom meetings, emails, slack messages, etc.
- Be a thought leader in suggesting locations, venues, programming ideas, agenda changes, etc with the client
- Build and maintain a budget for the client
Hours and Compensation:
This is currently a contractor role and candidate will be paid per event.
Before onboarding a new client, the Head of Client Success will reach out to you, present event details, # of expected attendees, budgets, projected event dates, etc and will propose a contractor payment per event attendee, ranging from $40-$60/attendee based on the size, complexity, and stage of event being planned (i.e. if you are asked to plan a 50 person event at $50/attendee, you will earn $2500).
You will have the opportunity to take on this event or pass.
There will also be opportunities to earn commissions for helping to re-sign clients and sell “day of” event coordination services (where you would travel to support a client during the event).
How To Apply:
If you’re excited about crafting unforgettable experiences for teams worldwide and have the skills to excel in this role, we’d love to hear from you.
Apply today by emailing jobs@offsite.com with your resume and a short (3ish min) video letting us know why you want to work for Offsite, as well as relevant offsite planning experience you have.
